My recent work intertwines cultural narratives and visual storytelling, drawing from my rich heritage and diverse experiences as a Syrian British artist. In this show at The Holly Art Gallery in London, I reflect on my Syrian upbringing by capturing the essence of Arabic proverbs and phrases. This series is part of a larger collection highlighting two-word slang expressions from Syria and other Arab countries, aiming to inspire positivity and optimism about the future. My work combines modern Arabic calligraphy with Western-influenced cubism, pop art, and abstract design, reflecting the diverse influences that shape my artistic vision.
Private View on 30th August (at 7.30 - 10.00 pm)
